What you basically need is a computer which is connected to the internet, speakers and a microphone or a headset. After downloading the teamspeak client, you can connect to your favorite teamspeak server to have a chat with your friends on that server.

Why do need a Teamspeak server to use Teamspeak?

To be able to communicate with other people, all the people who want to communicate have to connect to a server. Your computer will send your voice data to the server and the server relays it to the other persons which allows the communication.

Is it difficult to use?

Also the server is very easy to handle for Teamspeak server admins. Just login at the web interface to add, remove, edit users, change the title of your server in seconds!
